This is not so much a biggest loser contest as it is a get healthy blog. Being healthy should be more important than losing weight and hopefully in the process, a little weight will just fall right off!

Can you do it? Can you take the challenge and make the change?

What did you "TRI" this weekend?

Since T finished his Triathlon this weekend (He did so great!!!)  I am on to my own plan and another one for him.  More running for me and for him.  I started teaching classes again this past week at the studio and that is burning more than I thought.  I did not stop eating, I just consume less.

How are you all doing?

New weight

AS most of you know, I am not a big girl.  I do not have much to loose as well.  I had to take a drug that immediately "helped" me gain weight.  (nice)  So, here I am.  I will call my regiment "kick butt boot camp."

It just happens that T is training for a triathlon for the end of the month and I am training with him.  This is what my schedule was this past week.

-Run
-Bike
-Swim
-Bike and run
-Wake board (ok this is not on the triathlon training but it trashed my upper body.  If I could do that everyday for an hour!)
Like I told James... I can not DIET and will not diet.  I will only be eating better choices and work out.

Good luck everyone and love life!!!

This Week's Activities

Saturday I did Wii Fit for 30 minutes.
Monday I did my pushups, 5 sets that totalled 25.
Thursday I did pushups again, 5 sets totalling 27.

I need to do pushups today to stick with the three days a week schedule. But tomorrow I'm going kayaking, so we'll see how my arms feel after doing that all day...

I'm still feeling motivated (mostly), but we'll see how long that lasts.

Weight has stayed the same since my last post.

How's everyone else doing?

OK...I'm in...but not a good day to start a diet with company coming for dinner tonight, and faculty pot luck tomrrow afternoon! Still......I tend to lose weight at the beginning of the school year as my focus shifts from eating to school! The trick is keeping it off once the holidays hit! So I will blog here just to try and stay committed! I do have to say I have had 5 eating out events in the last week as school fires up, and I have tried to stay with salads. That is a big step for me! (Does it count if you have fried chicken on your salad? Still.........it could have been worse!!!!!)
Hi Everyone!

I don't have a ton of weight to lose, but I would like to exercise more, and this would be a good way to stay motivated. I'm down to a weight where I'm content, and I'd like to maintain it, or maybe lose just a few more pounds. I guess I could lose more, but if I'm honest with myself, I like to eat, and I don't want to stop enjoying it just to be super skinny. But I could stand to be healthier about eating.

I don't really love to exercise, so finding ways that I enjoy using my body has been a challenge in my life. I do like to hike, play volleyball, and do Wii Fit, but I should do it more often. I play volleyball every Monday with women from church. I could go hiking more often and do Wii Fit more often.

At the beginning of the year I started a 100 pushups program, found here. I got about halfway through and came down with viral pneumonia and haven't gone back to it. I think I'll start that up again. It only took like 5 minutes a day, but I really felt my body getting stronger. Plus, it was my New Years' goal, and I want to finished it before the end of the year.

I'm going to post whenever I exercise. Even the little things, because every little bit counts. I haven't decided whether or not to post about weight. Do you think I should?

So for today:

Wii Fit
20 minutes

Hurray!

Also, I've never done a blog before so you have any comments, tips or advice, let me know!
So here we have the family biggest loser blog. Really it should be the biggest winner. I am really hoping this will help to motivate me back into healthy eating and exercise. Last week I went running for the first time since Kiley's wedding. I ran 1.5 miles without stopping. Certainly not where I would like to be but I thought not bad considering I haven't been running in about 6 months. Before the wedding I had lost almost 10 lbs. Since the wedding, I have gained it all back. So it's time to get moving. Anyone want to join me?
